Hello.

Since embarking on my first year of Uni, like many other students I’m sure, I have let myself go in more ways than I’m happy to admit.

Since embarking on my first year of Uni, like many other students I’m sure, I have let myself go in more ways than I’m happy to admit.

However, at the forefront of these would be my body and diet. With the countless units of alcohol, I’ve consumed way on too many nights out (yes, I am a lad); sleepless nights catching up on work (aka. TV); and the numerous microwave meals consumed, I am now more flabolous than fabulos. As much as I would like to place the blame on the fact that I live within a 30 second walk of 2 kebab shops, a Subway and a Sainsbury’s Local, I can no longer use this and an excuse for my lack of self-control.

For around a year now I have been interested in veganism, by educating myself and learning about how becoming vegan will greatly benefit my health and overall wellbeing. But I cannot seem to make it stick, having a vegan week (more like couple of days) here and there which I always end up ruining by purchasing a very drunken Donner meat and chips, that I very much regret the following morning. Although that’s by far not the worst regret to have the morning after the night before.

I’ve decided to start-up this blog as a sort of self-motivation to keep with my diet plans and goals, as well as try to inspire other students that veganism is entirely affordable and possible at uni. Along the way, I am sure to have a few slip ups (probably due to my love of mayo) but that’s okay, won’t have been the worst mistake I’ve made at Uni lol.

Furthermore, I plan to post recipes, tips, and basically anything I feel like writing along the way. I would much appreciate any comments with helpful tips and even constructive criticism to help me along my journey to a much healthier lifestyle.

Love,

Soph.
